New FL-21 Survey USA Poll: Martinez Takes the Lead
Posted: Aug 28, 2008It’s 48% Martinez, 46% Lincoln Diaz-Balart. Mayor Martinez has taken the lead over a 16-year incumbent in Lincoln Diaz-Balart.
"People want positive change. When South Floridians needed their Congressman to put President Bush in his place and pass children’s healthcare, Lincoln failed them; when they needed him to end the billions of dollars in tax breaks for Big Oil, Lincoln failed them; when they needed him to look into the billions of dollars of wasteful spending in Iraq while Americans were hurting here at home, Lincoln failed them. The voters want someone who will improve the economy, lower the cost of healthcare and gas, and get us out of Iraq, and I’m ready to go to work for the people to get the job done,” said Mayor Martinez.
The poll of 632 likely voters was taken Aug. 24-26 for Roll Call by SurveyUSA and was conducted in both English and Spanish.
