Martinez Accepts Univision Invitation for FL-21 Debate

Hialeah, FL – Former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez, candidate for Florida’s 21st congressional district, has accepted an invitation from Univision-23 (WLTV Miami) to participate in a congressional debate on Wednesday, October 1st at 7 PM.

“I look forward to the opportunity to present my vision for change to the voters of District 21,” said Mayor Martinez. “South Floridians need solutions to lower the cost of healthcare and gas, and get us out of Iraq, not a rubberstamp for President Bush’s failed policies.”

The Diaz-Balart-Bush policy has denied over 10,000 children healthcare in District 21, prevented Congress from cracking down on gas price gouging by Big Oil, and kept us stuck in Iraq at the cost of $2.5 billion per week.

The Martinez Campaign has requested to Univision that if Lincoln Diaz-Balart refuses to participate, the debate should still occur with “una silla vacía” or an empty seat.
