FL-21: Does Lincoln Need President BushÂ’s Permission for a Televised Denver Debate?
Posted: Aug 22, 2008“Mr. Diaz-Balart does whatever President Bush asks of him, whether its voting to deny children healthcare or helping cover up the mess the President made in Iraq, so maybe Mr. Diaz-Balart needs to ask President Bush for permission to debate in Denver,” said Martinez Communications Director Aaron Blye.
“Apparently Lincoln has enough free time in his supposedly busy schedule to stand outside the Democratic Convention and play childish political games at the request of President Bush, but he won’t give voters the time of day when it comes to discussing important issues like a grown up,” Blye added.
Raul Martinez has accepted at least five invitations to debate including several that would be televised. Diaz-Balart was a no-show for a May debate planned by the South Florida AFL-CIO, and he continues to duck invitations to debate.
When will Lincoln answer the challenge for a televised debate?
