Lincoln Diaz-Balart’s Answer On Sunday: “I haven’t studied this sufficiently” NYT

This is what South Floridians have come to expect from the Failure In Leadership in Washington. Lincoln Diaz-Balart has become afraid to criticize the Bush administrations failed economic policies at the expense of all South Floridians.

Never known for his leadership in Washington and further marginalized by his dogmatic defense of Bush’s failed policies, Lincoln Diaz-Balart has once again chosen not to take a leadership position on solving the Housing Crisis that is paralyzing South Florida and the country.

Once again Mayor Raul Martinez calls on Lincoln Diaz-Balart to join the bi-partisan group of Senators and the Democratic leadership in the House in giving South Florida families some relief from the housing crisis.

Unfortunately, Diaz-Balart has been tone deaf on other pocket book issues that would help South Florida families. Diaz-Balart chose the party line over providing more middle and lower income children with access to healthcare. Not once but three times he was one of the decisive votes to deny healthcare to some of the over 400,000 uninsured in Miami Dade county.

There has also been no mention by Lincoln Diaz-Balart of a solution to skyrocketing fuel prices that have pushed many hardworking truck drivers and their families to the brink of bankruptcy. High fuel prices combined with the recent housing crisis and Lincoln Diaz-Balart’s inaction have left the voters of District 21 financially and politically sandbagged.
